You’ve heard the research saying we’re killing ourselves by sitting all day. Whether it be programming, gaming or just relaxing; sitting for long periods of time has adverse effects on our bodies and health (to be honest, so does standing for long periods of time).
Thankfully there is an easy and effective way to counter-balance these negative effects. Simply stand and move once an hour for about 3 minutes. You can get another cup of coffee, check the snail mail or do some any-time/any-where exercises.
Bottom line, it only takes 3 minutes an hour to reverse the negative effects of being sedentary … and, as an added bonus, you’ll find you’re mentally refreshed and better able to focus on the task at hand as well!
